So I saw this on a blog the other day and I thought it was cool. I would love to tell you which blog and show you a link so that you don’t call me a liar but I didn’t bookmark it and I’m way too busy (read: lazy) to go back through my history to find it. But the idea is that you just post the three things that you are grateful for at the moment. Not so much the top three things over your lifetime that you are grateful for but just what you are happy you have or did today or in the last few days.
This is an awesome idea for me because sometimes it’s easy to focus on the things that I don’t have (a book published or an indoor job) that I forget about all the amazing ways I have been blessed. Also, if you practice looking for the little things in your life that make it better than you will start to notice them everywhere and your overall attitude and life perspective will change for the better. It’s not that I feel like a really negative person I just think that I can do better.
I’ve decided not to go into too much detail. This is going to be an exercise in distilled prose (quick story, I took a class in university called distilled prose and there was way more to it then simply distilling your prose. “Who knew,” Tyler said sarcastically).
So here are the top three things I am grateful for right now.
1. My families blogs.
2. My brother and his awesome wedding present.
3. Being married (I’m allowed to say that cause we haven’t even been married a month yet).
Post the three things you are grateful for in the comments.
